The Etruscan Coast by train

Discover the charm of the Etruscan Coast with Regionale trains which allow you to visit the main resorts along the coast in comfort: Pisa, Livorno, Cecina, San Vincenzo, Follonica, Grosseto, Orbetello.
From Orbetello, with Argentario Link, you can continue by bus to Porto Santo Stefano, a holiday resort located on the Argentario headland famous for its beautiful beaches, enchanting coves and marina.
Alternatively, you can take the ferry from Piombino Marittima to the spectacular Island of Elba, thanks to the Elba Link service.
The Etruscan Coast is also renowned for its vast pine forests, charming villages and important archaeological sites such as Populonia and the Gulf of Baratti.
This stretch of Tuscan coast is the perfect destination for a weekend break or a holiday; it is also ideal for sports as well as its cultural and food and wine offerings in a region shaped by the Etruscans and their ruins, medieval villages and terroirs that are becoming increasingly famous around the world.

Bicycle spots
You can take your own bicycle on board on Regionale trains operating along this route. The number of bicycle spots available varies depending on the type of train with up to a maximum of 12 spots.
In Tuscany, if you travel with your bike on Saturdays and Sundays, or between 9.00 am and 4.00 pm and after 7.00 pm on other days, the bike ticket costs €1.60 and allows you to make multiple journeys within the validity period. During other time slots from Monday to Friday, national legislation applies, which provides for one of the following options:

• a single second-class ticket, the same as a passenger ticket
• a bike supplement of €3.50 valid for unlimited use on the chosen day
