Cinque Terre by train

From 2nd November 2020, to travel on regional trains stopping in the Cinque Terre it is necessary to buy one of the following tickets:

  • Trenitalia ticket with regional fare no. 39/9 Liguria (or for supra-regional use): access allowed only on regional trains. The ticket must be stamped before departure. Tickets up to 50 kilometers are valid 75 minutes after stamping; tickets for greater mileage are valid 4 hours after stamping.  
  • Weekly, monthly or annual subscription at regional or supra-regional Liguria fare: allows access to regional trains on showing a valid identity document.
  • Cinque Terre Treno MS Card: (access allowed only on regional trains).

The cards allow an unlimited number of trips between Levanto and La Spezia on Regional trains in second class and the use of the facilities of the Park. They are personal and non-transferable; they must be filled out with the owner’s name and surname (or name of the head of the family) and must be stamped. They must be exhibited along with a valid ID, and are not refundable. They may be purchased in Trenitalia ticket offices and in the Parco Nazionale della Cinque Terre's points of sale.
Pre-validated 5 TERRE CARD e-tickets are also available for purchase online on this website. You will need to be able to show them using a computer, tablet or smartphone capable of correctly displaying files in .pdf or Aztec/QRCode format, or on paper.
