FRECCIAROSSA trains travel throughout Italy, reaching the maximum speed of 300 km/h; they run straight into the heart of the most important cities, shortening your travel time. 

Choosing a Frecciarossa train means being able to rely on frequent connections, departures and arrivals in city centres and territorial coverage of the major cities, with the possibility of choosing the most convenient station for your needs. 

  • Fast and frequent connections at convenient times

    Frecciarossa trains cover the following routes::

    • Turin – Milan – Reggio Emilia AV – Bologna – Florence – Rome – Naples – Salerno. Some Frecciarossa routes have been extended from Milan to Brescia and Bergamo, from Florence to Arezzo and Perugia, from Rome to Caserta, Benevento, Foggia, Bari and Lecce and from Salerno to Reggio Calabria or Potenza and Taranto with the addition of weekend connections to Bardonecchia and Oulx.

    • Venice – Padua – Bologna – Florence – Rome – Naples – Salerno: with certain trains running an extended service to Udine and Trieste.

    • Venice – Padua –  Vicenza – Verona – Brescia – Milan: with certain trains running an extended service to and from Turin, while others directly connect Venice, Padua, Verona and Milan with Genoa, Trieste and Udine.

    • Rome – Florence – Bologna – Verona: with an extended service continuing on to Bolzano and Brescia/Bergamo.

    • Turin – Milan – Bologna – Rimini – Ancona – Foggia – Bari – Lecce.

    Frecciarossa trains are Trenitalia’s flagship product and offer passengers maximum comfort. The fleet consists of ETR 500 and ETR 1000 trains.  All trains feature:

    • Air conditioning
    • Plug sockets for each seat
    • LED lighting 
    • Ample luggage space
    • Screens in all coaches with continually updated travel information and news.
    • FRECCE Portal accessible via the on-board Wi-Fi network, with entertainment services, internet access and travel information
    • 2 designated spaces for disabled passengers travelling in wheelchairs and 2 seats for their travelling companions in Coach 3
    • One toilet in each coach and one wheelchair-accessible toilet in Coach 3
    • Baby changing table
       

    Frecciarossa trains offers 4 service levels: Executive, Business, Premium and Standard.

    The Frecciarossa service uses Frecciarossa 1000 and Frecciarossa ETR500 trains.
