NATIONAL TRAINS:
- 0-under 4 years of age: free, without a seat. 50% discount with a seat for the child
- 4-under 15 years of age: 50% discount on the Base offer.

REGIONAL TRAINS
- 0-under 4 years of age: under the age of 4, when accompanied by an adult and not occupying a seat of their own.
- 4-under 12 years of age: 50% discount.
- Over 12 years of age: full price.

Valid on all regional trains except within the regions of Campania, Abruzzo, Sardinia and Puglia, and in the autonomous provinces of Trento and Bolzano.

Abruzzo: free for children under 1 metre tall, when accompanied by an adult and not occupying a seat of their own.

Bolzano: free for children under 6 years of age as well as children who are residents of the Province of Bolzano who have reached the age of 6 but are not yet attending compulsory education, provided they are accompanied by a paying adult and not occupying a seat of their own.

Campania: free for children under 6 years of age, provided they are accompanied by a paying adult and not occupying a seat of their own. Full price for children over 6 years of age.

Lombardy: free for children under 4 years of age, when accompanied by an adult and not occupying a seat of their own; 50% discount: over 4 and under 14 years of age; full price for children over 14 years of age.

Puglia: free for children under 10 years of age accompanied by an adult with a regular ticket; for children aged 10+ years, there are no free tickets or discounted rates for age.

Sardinia: free for children under 6 years of age, when accompanied by an adult with a valid ticket (provided they have a valid form of ID proving their age, in case of doubt); if the accompanying adult is travelling with more than one child under the age of 6, they are required to purchase a ticket at the full applicable rate for every two children (e.g. one child is free, two children - a full ticket, three children - a full ticket, four children - two full tickets, etc.).

Trento: free for children under 6 years of age, accompanied by a paying adult (or holder of free tickets and free travel pass) with the right to a seat, for a maximum of 5 children under 6 years of age for each accompanying adult.

SPECIAL FARES
Lazio - Fiumicino Airport Fare 1/Ter: children under the age of four travel for free, provided they are accompanied by an adult with a valid ticket; children over 4 and under 12 years of age travel for free, provided they are accompanied by an adult with a valid ticket; in this case, one child may travel free of charge for each paying adult.

Sicily - Palermo Airport: children under the age of 4 travel for free, provided they are accompanied by an adult with a valid ticket; over 4 and under 12 years of age, the childrenâ s fare costs €3 (Series B) from the Palermo area to Punta Raisi station, or a supplement of €1.50 (series C) from any station outside the Palermo area to Punta Raisi station.

Fare 14 urban/metropolitan areas: in the cities of Bari, Rome, Venice, Palermo and Turin, where Fare 14 for Urban areas is in force, the children's discount does not apply.

Trenitalia Cinque Terre Ticket Fare 39/9 Cinque Terre

From 15th March to 2nd November 2025

To travel inside the park (including the stations of Levanto and La Spezia). When required tickets must be validated before boarding the train and are valid for 75 minutes for exclusively one direct trip.

Trenitalia regional fare ticket no. 39/9 Liguria (or with supraregional application) plus supplement
If travelling between a station outside and one inside the park (excluding Levanto and La Spezia stations): full fair 39/9/Liguria ticket plus a supplement, at different prices as shown in the tables below:

Monthly or annual regional or supraregional season tickets for Liguria: allow access to regional trains upon showing a valid identity document.
Non-residents of Liguria in possession of a weekly season ticket are not permitted to travel on regional trains stopping in the Cinque Terre National Park area.
