Trenitalia's offer for families and youngsters

The Family Child is the offer dedicated to children from 6 to 15 who travel accompanied by an adult (one adult for every boy) in possession of ticket, at one of the following fares: Adult (for aged from 26 and 60) or Card (holders of international discount cards). The adult and minor do not have to be related.
The offer is valid on all trains connecting Italy with the 'Austria and the train to Germany, and from June 2015 also Eurocity trains connecting Italy and Switzerland.

The offer can be bought at the Trenitalia ticket desks and authorised travel agencies.

The tariff can be bought for all types of travel category.
There are no limits to the maximum number of children who can use the offer (e.g. 10 children accompanied by 10 adults can use the Family special offer).
Tickets bought with the Family special tariff can be changed and refunded according to the formalities of the International Regulations.

The age for access to the offer varies depending on the destination, as shown in the tables below.

  • Switzerland starting from 7 euro

    The Family Special offer is also available on the train ÖBB Eurocity between Venice and Vienna in the 9 euros for a seat in 2nd class and 15 euros for a seat in first class.
