Informativa bici al seguito - Trasporto Regionale

On all Regional Transport trains: free transport for an appropriately folded or dismantled bike, one per passenger. Dimensions must not exceed 80x110x40 cm.

On Regional trains whose times are marked with the pictogram: bicycle, including pedal-assisted bikes (max 1 per passenger and not over 2 mt length).

The On-board Staff may refuse bike transport should it be detrimental to the rail service (pursuant to European Reg. 1371/07).

Passengers travelling with a bike may choose to purchase:

  • an additional 2nd class ticket valid for the same journey as the passenger, or:
  • a no-limits supplementary bike charge which can be used during the chosen date at a price of €3.50.
Different policies may be issued by the Regions/Provinces as shown below.

Bolzano Bikes may be carried with one of the following travel tickets:
  • a 3.50€ rate per day (which can be used with no limits during the chosen day) for holders of AltoAdige Pass, AltoAdige Pass family or Euregio Family Pass and for student and senior season ticket holders provided with paid features;
  • daily bike ticket of 7€ for anyone travelling with any other type of travel or season ticket other than the above-listed ones.
Children under 6 travel free with the bike (up to 20-inch) with the accompanying person in possession of a valid travel ticket.
The Bikemobil Card is available during certain periods of the year only. Please consult the Trenitalia Conditions of Carriage for further information.
Campania Ticket for an accompanied bike 2€; valid for a single journey during the chosen day. Travel with an accompanied bike is free on Saturdays and holidays.
Emilia Romagna The 3.5€ bike additional charge is valid on TPER trains on the FER network in the Emilia Romagna region.

Toscana The ticket for an accompanied bike is the same as a full-price 2nd class ticket, corresponding to the first kilometre bracket (10 km), which can be used for several journeys during the following validity periods: working days (Mon-Fri) between 9.00 and 16.00 and between 19.00 and 24.00 and on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays. During the remaining time periods, from Mondays to Fridays, the Trenitalia regulations apply.
Trento Ticket for an accompanied bike 2€; valid for a single journey during the chosen day.
Persons under the age of 18 who travel for free with the special Family Card rate, may carry their bikes for free if accompanied by an adult who possesses an accompanied bike ticket.
Free transport for students, workers and pensioners with six-monthly or yearly extra-urban season tickets and for holders of yearly season tickets in the urban areas of Trento, Rovereto and Pergine.
