Trenitalia Pass is an offer - for non-residents in Italy - allowing travel in 1st or 2nd class on all Trenitalia trains in Italy for either 4-10 consecutive days or for non-consecutive days in a 2-month period.

The Trenitalia Pass is available in 3 versions:

"Basic", both 1st and 2nd class, for adults (children from 4 to under 12 have a 50% reduction);
"Youth", for customers from 12 to under 26 travelling in 2nd class;
"Saver", both 1st and 2nd class, for small groups made up of 2 to 5 persons.

in European and non-European countries, from the authorised Travel Agencies;
In Italy at the stations of Ancona, Bari, Bologna C.le, Bolzano, Brindisi, Catania, Florence SMN, Fiumicino Airport, Genova P.P., Lamezia Terme, Lecce, Modena, Milano C.le, Naples C.le Padua, Palermo C.le, Parma, Pescara, Pisa, Reggio Emilia, Reggio Calabria, Rimini, Roma Termini, Turin P.N., Treviso, Trieste, Udine, Venice S.L., Venezia-Mestre, Ventimiglia, and Verona.

What it offers:

The Trenitalia Pass allows travel on all the Trenitalia trains in Italy.
You only pay:
The Eurostar Italy surcharge ("Upgrade"), if using these trains Eurostar Italia (the upgrade also lets you book your seat, which, on Eurostar Italia trains, is always compulsory);
the couchette or bed place, if used Night Trains;
a special fare if using the Artesia train

Trenitalia Pass holders also have the right to benefits for accommodation in hotels, purchasing ferry tickets and much more besides.

Validity and pre-sale:

The Trenitalia Pass is valid for 3 to 10 consecutive days or for non-consecutive days over two months.
Before each day's trip, you must state the journey date in the Pass's box-calendar.
Every box allows you to travel from 0:00 until 24:00 of the day indicated.
If the journey begins with a train that leaves after 19:00 and arrives at destination on the following day, you must indicate the date of the day after the departure date.

The passes may be sold a maximum of 6 months in advance of the start of validity date. The validity-start date can be given upon purchase or subsequently. In this latter case, before using the Pass, you must go to any ticket office or Trenitalia Information Desk to have a validation date and stamp put on. Having it stamped on the train makes you liable to a surcharge.
