Discounts and the "Salvaviaggio" ticket for those who go by train in the summer period
Book in good time to travel with more convenience, comfort and value for money. Discounts of 20% on the days and times of less demand and a new ticket to use when the places are used up.

On the busiest days (expected to be 27, 28 and 29 July; 3,4, 5 August and 10, 11, 12, 17, 18, 19, 20, 24, 25, 26 and 31 August; and 1 and 2 September), booking in good time is therefore essential to avoid standing.
Those who instead choose to travel on the quieter days, that is between Monday and Thursday, booking their tickets gives customers a 20% reduction off standard fares.
The "Socio" offer, lastly, reserved for families, youths and senior citizens, gives discounts of up to 25% depending on whether the journeys are on the "peak" days or those of minor traffic.
AMICA FARE
By planning your journey in good time, you can save 20% on all medium- and long-distance trains. Indeed an amount of places, which varies depending on trains and days, will be on sale until midnight of the day before departure at the "Amica" fare with a reduction of 20% with respect to the standard tariff. Without any extras, tickets will include place bookings also for those trains on which booking is not compulsory (Intercity, Express trains). This opportunity was hitherto available only to passengers using the Alta Velocità (high speed) services on the Milan-Turin and Rome-Naples lines. An example: travelling from Rome to Milan between Monday and Friday in second class will cost 40.80 euro as opposed to 51.00 euro at present.
"SALVAVIAGGIO" TICKET
This solution has been designed around those who need to leave suddenly. It allows boarding on Eurostar, ES Alta Velocità, EurostarCity and IntercityPlus, without having to pay any surcharge also when the sale system declares there are no places available. For each carriage 15 tickets will be issued without guarantee of a seat. This amount is on average the number remaining empty due to renouncements and booking changes.
