Prontotreno is the official Trenitalia application for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch that allows you to check timetables, purchase your ticket for national routes, change your reservation, request a refund and check train punctuality in a quick and easy way.

The new Prontotreno iPad version offers important new features:

you can plan your journey using interactive maps and display the main points of interest near the train stations;

you can e-mail your journey details and save them in the Agenda, you can display the arrivals/departures board located in the train stations with information on trains, timetables and departure platforms.

Application for Android smartphone

ProntoTreno is also available for Android smartphones.

With ProntoTreno for Android you can avail yourself of all the features needed to purchase and change your tickets, check train punctuality and of 4 widgets: 

Ticket Widget: allows you to display the most important details about your journey on your desktop; Timetable Widget: after entering a departure and arrival station, it provides a shortcut to the available travel options; Board Widget: select a train station and display the list of trains departing from that station;Train status Widget: the updated status of your train available on your desktop.

Solutions for other mobile phones

If your phone has internet access, you can visit http://mobile.trenitalia.com to change your reservations, use the Postoclick service, check timetables and train punctuality.
The service is free while connection costs will depend on your mobile network operator.
