You can now surf the Net on Frecciarossa trains using a USB key or any other portable device equipped with a WiFi antenna. An experimental WiFi network named “WiFi Frecciarossa” is now available on Frecciarossa trains through a co-operation between Trenitalia and Telecom Italia. 

You can use our promotional WiFi service. You can connect to the on board WiFi network and purchase your access codes online at the nominal price of 1 cent.

Once you have received your password, you can use it to surf the net for the following 24 hours (starting from the first time you connect) on all Frecciarossa trains. Payment for the purchase of your access codes is required through credit card (Visa or Mastercard) for security reasons. This service is managed by Telecom Italia.

How to obtain your access codes and surf the Internet

1. WiFi network configuration:
To configure the WiFi network aboard the Frecciarossa train, you need to follow these simple steps:
first, activate WiFi on your portable computer (or other WiFi devices); you must then select the “WiFi Frecciarossa” network (which appears on the list of available WiFi networks) on the WiFi network management panel;
if the Proxy is selected, you need to disable it (to do this, you simply need to open the browser, access the Tools menu Options and access the section dedicated to Network setup).

2. Start navigation:
To start surfing the Internet, you need to launch the Internet browser and enter any URL (that is the address of any Internet website) and the access portal to the WiFi service will be automatically displayed. You then need to follow the instructions to purchase your access codes (or enter same if you already have them).
