Children travel for free!

Bimbi gratis is the offer from Trenitalia dedicated to children under 15 years of age travelling with at least one adult, in groups from 2 to 5 people.

The offer allows children under 15 years of age to travel for free, while the other members of the group pay the Base Price for the selected train and service.

The number of seats available is limited and varies according to the day of the week, train and class booked.


Where and how to book

The offer can be booked on this website, at authorised Travel Agencies and through our Call Center (see costs), also with ticketless option, at ticket desks and Self-Service ticket machines at train stations. The offer cannot be combined with other reductions.

You can use Bimbi Gratis to travel on any train with the exception of Regional trains and Excelsior and Excelsior E4 carriages.

To purchase the Bimbi Gratis offer on this website proceed as follows:
enter the number of adults and children (at least 1 adult and 1 child)
in the page "Choice of travel" select the option "View other prices and services"
in the next page select in the scroller the offer "Bimbi gratis" for all passengers.


PLEASE NOTE! To avail of this offer you need to show on board an identity card to prove you are an adult and an identity document, birth certificate, declaration in lieu of certificate or simply a self-certification prepared by the child’s parent to confirm his/her age.


Booking changes and refunds

Booking change
Booking changes are free. You can change your booking once and until the departure of the train, on this website, at self-service ticket machines at train stations, calling the Trenitalia Call Center (non toll-free numbers), at tickets desks at train stations or at authorised travel agencies.

Refunds
Refunds can be requested until the departure of the train, subject to a deduction of 20%, at any ticket desk or at the travel agency where the ticket was issued. No refunds are granted after train departure.
